Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

pb_memorial_day
Happy long weekend, m’dears! I’m so ready to kick back and relax. Despite the not-so-hot weather forecast for the next few days, I’m thrilled to be hosting my sister and her husband for the weekend! They’re driving their cute selves all the way up from Pennsylvania (hate that they’re so far away) and I couldn’t be more excited. We’re hoping to do a bit of boating, fishing and lunch in Marblehead harbor tomorrow, most likely bundled up a bit. What are you all up to for Memorial Day? Hope you have something fun planned! xo
A few fun links to kick off summer…
Gorgeous inspiration for a summer happy hour.
A pretty pillow for the patio furniture.
Fish dish, adorable.
These two films from Joel Serrato are perfect.
Might whip up a big batch of this over the weekend.
I have a beach bag addition, this one is my latest lust.

Ok, can we just talk about this photo for a minute? This gorgeous floral arrangement (styled and photographed by Amy Merrick for West Elm) is a mix of real and paper flowers! This post totally inspired me to hand-pick a few pretties for myself. So gorgeous.
After plenty of April showers this week, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a bit of sunshine this weekend. We’re heading into Marblehead tomorrow for a 1st birthday party for sweet baby Lucas and I’d love to walk around a old town a bit before. The harbor is so pretty in spring and summertime, I never tire of it. What fun things are you doing? Hope you have a lovely weekend! xo
Favorite links from my week…
Speaking of 1st birthday parties, this one is completely adorable.
Could these DIY fresh flower gift tags be any prettier?
A little pep talk on savings.
These vintage blossoms would be a sweet birthday or Mother’s day gift.
I’ve always wanted a meyer lemon tree.
Can’t wait to try this healthy smoothie.

Have a Lovely Weekend!

Happy Friday, friends! What are you all up to this weekend? I’ve got a long list of house chores on the agenda and I’m so ready. I had some pretty good motivation this week, too… Shawn completely cleaned out our garage, built new shelving and even fixed up my vintage letterpress (thanks love!). It’s homemade pizza night tonight at the Bilodeau/Baran casa and I’m going to mix up some pink grapefruit margaritas for happy hour. I hope you all have a refreshing + relaxing Spring weekend! xo

A few pretties from this week…

I’m officially planning a trip to gorgeous Savannah.

This outfit is going to be my Spring work-to-party go-to.

Saturday morning vacuuming is so much more fun with JT and Jay-Z.

How cute are these cosmo seed bombs? I’ll be sprinkling a few in my yard.

I’ll be saving this recipe for a warm summer evening. And that video? Ahhh.

Send a sweet floral note to a friend.

Time to open the windows, let in the fresh air and light a refreshing scent.

A smile from 1963

My grandmother sent me a little note in the mail yesterday on a card that I designed at my first job out of college. How cute is she? Tucked inside the card was this picture of my grandfather circa 1963 when he was about 17 years old. Handsome, huh? (He’s the one on the right). It was taken at Wildcat Mountain where they all worked together and clearly fooled around like kids do. My grandfather passed away last year at the young age of 64. Seeing this picture of him smiling touched me deeply. He was so young, yet so determined and in the years following this picture, he built a wonderful life for himself and his family. I am at a point in my life where I don’t know what will come next. But I do know where I came from and that if you’re truly passionate about something, you’ll make it happen in ways that you never imagined.

Thank you to my amazing grandmother for always sending me the best letters at just the right time. I will always cherish them. Thanks, Mere.
