I was honored to work with one of the sweetest brides in Boston this summer on a stunning invitation suite for her upcoming fall wedding! This amazing bride also happens to be a good friend and co-worker of mine at Neptune Oyster, so it was even more fun to throw ideas around over late night oysters and glasses of bubbly after our usual Sunday shift.
Ann and her fiancé Mitch chose a color palette of champagne, gold and ivory for their rustic wedding at a gun club in western Massachusetts. I created this board back in May as a jumping off point and source of inspiration for Ann and Mitch while thinking of the small details they might include at their wedding reception. After a few ideas and changes, we went with a simple design using casual and handwritten fonts, black ink and gold foiled names and on 100% pearl cotton paper. We decided on a post card RSVP to stay on budget since adding gold foil is more costly and we hadn’t originally planned on this. This was my first time working with gold foiling and letterpress printing together and I am thrilled with the results. The subtle touch of gold to the names and RSVP adds just enough to fancy up these simple invites.
Congrats to Ann and Mitch on their upcoming wedding! xo, you two.
